THE SUNDAY MORNING PRAYER/BREAKFAST GROUP CONTINUES TO MEET ON THE SECOND AND FOURTH SUNDAYS. Join us at 9:15 A.M. in the Meeting House on May 9th and May 23rd .

OLD COLONY SUNDAY will be observed on Sunday, May 2 at 10 A.M. This tradition began with the Rev. Dr. David Beach in 1948, and includes a processional by the Second Company of the Governor’s Foot Guard.

OFFICE CLOSING
The church office will be closed on Monday, May 31st in observance of Memorial Day. The office will reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, June 1

NEW MEMBER CLASS ON SUNDAY, MAY 2 AT THE PARISH HOUSE, FOLLOWING THE SERVICE. We will eat lunch, get to know each other, and learn a bit about the church and our denomination. New members will be received into the church on Pentecost Sunday, May 23.

PRE-CONFIRMATION CLASS FOR CHILDREN AGE 12 AND OLDER: The last class until the fall will be held on Sunday, May 16 in the Parish House after worship. Lunch will be served and pick up is at 12:45.

A SPECIAL SERVICE ON SUNDAY, MAY 30TH

A Reading of Letters from Americans who have fought in War. For the past four years, it has become a tradition for the service to consist of reading letters from people who fought in wars. We have found this to be a very moving service, so join us.

LOOKING AHEAD TO JUNE:

CHILDREN’S DAY WILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY, JUNE 6. The children will lead the worship service and also tell us the story of Jonah and the whale.

ADULT EDUCATION: GREAT SERMONS: Join us for potluck and discussion of great sermons on Wednesday, June 16 and Tuesday, June 29 at 5:30 for potluck, 6:15 for sermon discussion in the Parish House library. We will read some sermons considered “great” and reflect together on why they have stood the test of time.

The Chronicle is our monthly newsletter that keeps members up to date on recent and upcoming events, current issues, and other important information. Included is the church calendar for the month ahead, which is a great way to see when meetings and other events are occurrring.
